Training Resources

#1; If you are a Ticket to Work provider, this training is for you!  The National Employment Network Association (NENA) sponsors a quarterly training call featuring a variety of topic-area experts.  Next week’s advanced training is on Marketing to Ticket Beneficiaries.  While the focus will be in Ticket, I’m confident there will be marketing ideas that can be applied to other programs.  Social Security staffer Mark Green will also be on the call to describe the robocall program SSA recently initiated.

Date: Wednesday Feb. 15

Length: 90 minutes
Call: (805) 309-2350 or (800) 309-2350

#2: Ergonomics is important to every workplace.  Humantech, an expert in workplace improvements and ergonomics, has a series of archived webinars available on their website.  The best part, the replays are free!  You can check out the webinars at: http://www.humantech.com/resources/webinars/archived

#3: The Talent Knows No Limits Training Portal, located at: http://interwork.sdsu.edu/chiip/training.php?page=webinars also has a number of webinars on benefits planning issues and self employment for people with disabilities available on their website.  Several of the webinars also provide continuing education credits for those of you who are Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC).  If you’re a workforce development professional, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about these available benefits and opportunities.
