Resource: Pinterest for Job Search?

One of the things I love about facilitating training is when my students have that “aha” moment. It’s an added bonus when I get to have one, too! That’s what happened at the three day face-to-face meeting we had at the end of July for our Career Development Facilitator training.

We have been active on social media (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) for over a year now. How to use the picture-based social media platforms for the work we do had seemed elusive. I couldn’t see us posting “selfies” or regularly finding pictures that would be of interest…until I saw what Fresno State Career Services was doing. I couldn’t believe how simple it was and immediately put a plan in motion to get out there.

And, the list goes on. On each Board are Pins. A Pin can be a link to an article, an infographic or an image that depicts the topic of the Board. In other words, there are a whole lot of resources on topics our clients can use for job search.

Feel free to share this with your clients. We’re pleased to make this resource available to you! I think you’ll be surprised how many of your clients are already on Pinterest! We hope to see you out there. Happy Pinning!
