Facilitating Career Development Training

The National Career Development Association’s (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development Training was created to provide standards, training specifications, and credentialing to eligible career providers in our field.

This comprehensive 13-week e-learning course can enhance the skills of service providers working in any type of career development, workforce or educational setting. Taught by Lisa Brown Jordan, a nationally trained and qualified instructor, and the current editor of the Facilitating Career Development curriculum, this 120+ class/instructional hour training goes in depth into the 12 career development competencies.

We also offer course specializations in the following career development service areas:

  • Workforce Development Services
  • Disability Services
  • K-12
  • Re-Entry Services
  • Business Services

Graduates of the course who meet the basic requirements for credentialing are eligible to apply for the following:

  • Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE)
  • Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) credential through the National Career Development Association (NCDA)

How is the Facilitating Career Development Training Structured?

We understand the time and financial concerns our students are sometimes faced with, and to address these concerns, we offer a 100% virtual experience. Learners enjoy the richness and interaction of an in-person training during regularly scheduled “face-to-face” meetings from the comfort of their home or office.  This virtual training program offers monthly start dates, adding flexibility and time to complete activities and assignments online.

  • 120-hours of in-depth training

  • Weekly assignments that build in peer interaction
  • Virtual & webinar training sessions

In addition, we take a “no fluff,” customized approach to training, including course assignments. Students select topics that are of interested to the work they do, which allows for practical application of what is learned.  Since everyone has different needs and interests, we don’t adhere to a  “one size fits all” approach.

Full payment must be received one week prior to session start date. Course materials and login information for our online learning portal will be sent one (1) week prior to the start of the course.
